To successfully date a Russian, one must be cognizant of men and women’s roles in Russian society. While men see themselves as superior to women, they still must shower them with gifts. Russians are emotional and opinionated–especially among friends and lovers–and are extremely superstitious, so bringing a Russian woman a bouquet with an even number of flowers could be the end of a relationship.
