Emergency contraception is available without a prescription. Abortion is illegal, except in cases when the woman’s life, physical or mental health are at risk. The spouse’s consent is required. Abortion is currently legal upon request up until the 12th week of pregnancy, the 22nd week for social reasons, and at any point during pregnancy if the woman’s health is at risk. Contraceptives are widely available in Switzerland. Oral contraceptives must be prescribed by a physician. If you need just one months suppy, a pharmacist in Switzerland will likly let you buy one months worth without a prescription (you will have to specify which birth control you take). The emergency contraceptive pill is available over the counter at local pharmacies.

Contraceptives are widely available in Israel. Birth control pill must be prescribed by a physician. The Emergency Contraceptive pill is available over the counter at local pharmacies.
First-trimester abortions are legal, but must be approved by a termination committee. In 2007, 98% of cases brought to the committee were approved.
