According to a 2008 survey conducted to increased the use of birth control and promote sex health awareness and education, 23% of Israeli women use birth control pills. The condom is the second most popular mode of birth control in Israel.

Soon, the morning-after pill will be available over the counter in pharmacies in Spain. According to Health Minister Trinidad Jimenez, the pill will be sold without age restrictions and will be regarded as another method of contraception.
