Women’s rights groups in Bahrain demand that women be able to pass on their citizenship to foreign-born men and their children. Currently, only a man can pass his on citizenship to his foreign-born wife and their children.

The Society for Defending Women’s Rights blames Saudi Arabia’s religious police for the “honor killing” of two sisters. Daily occurrences in Saudi Arabia, the “honor killings” are staged to look like suicides or accidents. The Saudi religious police also enforce the Islamic dress code, prayer attendance, and the prohibition of alcohol.
